Master Daniel Finley

Daniel Finley is a certified instructor of the Eight Step Preying Mantis System and Tai Chi Chuan under direction of the Fourth Generation Grandmaster James Shyun. He began his training in martial arts in Tae Kwon Do, but felt there was something missing. He soon left to study other fighting styles like boxing and kickboxing. All the while he was looking for a complete system of fighting. After a long search he came upon the rare art of Eight Step Preying Mantis Kung Fu and was very interested. He went to visit Sifu Thanh Van and was so impressed that he joined right there and never looked back. He knew he had finally found what he was looking for. After years of hard work and training he took and passed the national Sifu test in August 2003. He teaches classes at the southwest YMCA in Austin, TX. Sifu Finley continues his learning under Grandmaster Shyun at the Sifu camps twice a year. Adult Kung Fu ages 13+: Tues. & Thurs. 7:30-9:00pm Tai Chi: Tues 8:00-9:00pm,
