Brief info
Lee Yokota began his study of martial arts when he was 10 with a brief study of Villaris Kempo Karate. He began training in Eight Step Preying Mantis Kung fu and Shyun Tai Chi in his senior year of high school in the year 2000. In 2005, under the tutelage of Shifu Tom Sumbera, he received his teaching certification under the American Chinese Martial Arts Federation. After graduating, he took over the operations and teaching responsibilities of the Lake Park, Fl school along with Shifu David Hughes. He began his continuing education of Eight Step and Shyun Tai chi under Master Thanh Van and has currently attained the rank of 6th Duan under his tutelage. Yokota is an accomplished amateur San Da/San Shou fighter with an overall record of 10-3 (with 3 kos) and has won tournaments in the ICMAC and ISKA. He retired from competitive fighting in 2012 to focus on growing the Lake Park school. In April 2017, he became an indoor disciple under Grandmaster Shyun Guan Long and was given the name "Sun Dragon." Yokota continues to teach Eight Step Preying Mantis Kung Fu and Shyun Tai Chi as the head instructor at Kung Fu USA in Lake Park, Fl.
