Master Steven Garelik began his martial arts training in 1990 with Kempo. Five years later, he moved to South Dakota and started studying Shyun Style 8 Step Preying Mantis at the Vermillion school, under the tutelage of Master Kevin Loftus. In 2006, Master Garelik passed the ACMAF national certification test.Currently, Master Garelik teaches Shyun Style 8 Step Preying Mantis Kung Fu and Shyun Style Tai Chi and continues his education at annual martial and medical camps. In April 2017, Master Garelik was accepted into the Shyun family as a disciple and given the name Shyun Ying Long, in ceremony.
