Brief info
Sifu Travis began formal martial arts training in 1993 in a rare style of Japanese Aikijutsu. Shortly thereafter he entered service with the U.S. Coast Guard and was stationed in California where he was introduced to 8 Step Mantis by Sifu Tosh Stone in 1997. In 2000 he began studying directly under Grandmaster Shyun; going on to open a school in Orange County, California. "8 Step Mantis really brings the many elements of martial systems together, not just fighting but healing, health and spirituality." Travis returned to his native home in southwest Missouri to finish his degree at MSSU Joplin.
